Oh we had such wonderful clam digs when we lived in your hometown! Marvelous chowders and other clam delights. I've been homesick for your town and for my 'old' house there - but not all the steps. I know exactly what I would do with the inside and the outside and yard if I lived there now. Ah, why is hindsight always so much clearer than reality?

I have never been on a clam dig ... living in inland Oregon, and previously in Nebraska, doesn't present many opportunities ... LOL.
