Comment #6 - Anonymous Robin ~ Now how darn appropriate is that! I love it! Robin, I'll get your Robin to you soon!
Robins are one of the first songbirds that you see in the spring. Their arrival means that winter will soon be over. They give us hope for a new, softer world and a renewal of our beliefs that things will get better.
I am participating in Regina's Birds of Change swap over at Creative Kismet and choose to make Robins for my bird of change for the very reasons above. Along with this swap, Regina has asked any participant who wanted to, to giveaway one of their bird creations on January 20th, a day of big change for us Americans and also Regina's birthday. (Happy Birthday!) In true Rainy Night fashion, I am a day late posting my birds, but nevertheless, I would love to send one winging your way. Please leave a comment letting me know what your favorite bird is and your name will go in my magic basket. I'll randomly draw a winner on Saturday, January 24 and if the winner is you, one of my Robins will fly into your life.
Then, pop over to Creative Kismet to find a list of other bird giveaways. The creations everyone has come up with are incredible!

I love your bird, my favorite is the hummer. They are so tiny and I can sit and watch them for hours. :)Lisa
What a darling little robin redbreast. Oooh, favorite birds: I'd have to say "orioles," since I used to live in Baltimore, but then of course, there are the "ravens" too. ha ha ha. Seriously, I'd say the robin red breast, since it is a harbinger of spring.

Your birds are so cute! Did they have a pattern for this challenge, or did you have to find your own?
I think hawks are my favorite birds. I like to see them soaring above looking for prey.
Hey! You're in the exchange, too? Mine are ready to go. I just have to box them up. I did the giveaway earlier in the week, so that gave me the extra kick I needed to get them all done.

my favorite bird...hmmm...might be blue jays. i love the way they taunt my cat and play sweet games! cute robin, i love them, too!
We have Robins year round but more in the winter, I suppose because this is their winter home before they fly off to other places.
My favorite bird is the Eastern Bluebird. Here at the new house, they often sit on the fence and watch for insects in the little ditch. Occasionally they'll come to the feeder. We will have nesting boxes up in the Spring. We had many born on our farm during the years we were there. Second, would be the Carolina Wren. This is such a plucky little bird. I love the way he hops and his beautiful song.

Paula,
Your robins are delightful. I think my favorite bird is the blue jay or bluebird, but I am always happy to see robins, as they mean spring is on the way. We have a lot of robins visit our yard. I enjoy watching them as well as all the other bird species.
Hope all is well with you and I would love for that robin to come and live at my house. ;-)
Blessings,
Mary
