Sunday Stills - Moon

This weeks Sunday Stills challenge is the moon, and boy is that challenging! Most of mine come out completely blurry and look like just a tiny bright spot in the dark sky. I took the above picture the other morning at about 7 am and really like how it turned out, despite the silly electrical wires that always seem to be in the way. I like the moon hanging around in the February sky.
The picture below is blurry, but it was an incredible sight. I was leaving work and this gigantic moon seemed to be rising from the river and hanging around under the bridge. It was incredible to see.

Paula,

These are both excellent shots. The moon is one of the most challenging things I've ever photographed. I would like a camera with a better zoom. Mine has very little. Maybe one day.

Take care, my friend and enjoy your week.

Blessings,
Mary

I know what you mean about getting blurry outside pics - I want to get a tripbod so that my shaking hands don't mess up the picture.

Love your pictures! They turned out great ~

I saw that moon last week. It was gorgeous. I tried to get a photo of it, but didn't have any luck.

I found it very fitting that your post and your music were "moon" related! :)

Hi, Paula. Monica linked us to your blog, so I've been looking around.

I love your photography! I especially love the photos of the moon. I was looking at them before I read your post and I was wondering how you did that. Then I read where you also think shooting pictures of the moon is challenging. By the way, how did you do that? Mine, too, look like blurry spots or a dot in the sky.

I love your blog. I'll be back to visit, soon.
