Hunters Rescue Stranded Elk

When we went to Wyoming at Christmas time, Riff and Sam were out hunting and Sam spotted this cow elk stuck in a hole in the creek. They went back to town, got reinforcements and headed back out to rescue her. Here is the video that Riff's brother, Ron, taped and our nephew Nick uploaded to YouTube.
It takes about six minutes to watch but is so worth it.
Enjoy!

Oh My Gawd...how exciting that must have been.

I gaze out at the elk that graze near our house often...next time I do, I'll think of this I'm sure!

I can't help but think of having seen recently, that the KING of the elk in Yellowstone was recently found dead, after having fallen somehow, ending up with his massive antlers under him, and he couldn't get up.

My blessings to those that rescued this poor cow.

This is an amazing vidio!
Every time I see it I feel like grabbing ahold of that rope & helping them pull.

Paula,

This is awesome. Those guys really worked hard to get her out of there. Kudos to them. So many would have left her there to die. What an experience for each of them.

Blessings,
Mary
