Christmas carols are playing on the stereo, the lingering scent of pumpkin pie is still in the air, the sounds of knitting needles clicking and clacking and a whirling sewing machine can be heard at differing intervals. Black Friday sales are not for me, instead I have chosen to stay home, digging into my Christmas crafting with a frenzy. I'm really happy with the presents that I have turned out in this last week (vacation time for me~ Yippee!). Three little quilts are finished, one custom hat for an etsy sale, a knitting project complete, and a new snowman on the needles. Our Christmas boxes going to Germany and Texas have been mailed and one for Wyoming is getting close to completion. What a week it's been, completely relaxing, knitting, sewing and baking. Feels like a dream...

Yes, I know now we HAVE to be related somehow....
I've been in hibernation since Wednesday and plan on being right here the rest of the weekend! I have my pumpkin candles burning, cornbread in the oven and a pot of beans on the stove, and have been busy making a little Annie doll. (Except I have a football game in the background instead of Christmas music. *LOL*) Dontcha just love being a homebody?

I certanly agree with you on the black Friday thing. I feel much better about giving & recieving home made gifts than something from the store & don't want to be out there in all the frenzy at the stores.
It looks like you are making some awsome things Mrs. Clause.

I too am hibernating! Most all trips to a store seems like a Black Friday to me. I don't like to go to town, I like to just do my thing on a daily basis. When I do go to town, I will combine all errands in that one trip.

I've been knitting for about a month now, and it seems like all gifts will be knit this year!

I made dog cookies today - very easy and the dog loves them - hooray!

You have been busy!
Wish I could say the same. Too many other things to keep me busy.

How rewarding to have so much accomplished. I love the glimpse of the quilts we got to see.

No Black Friday sales for me, either. But I wish I had been doing what I planned to do - exactly what you did. I had hoped to work on Christmas gifts but spent the day relaxing and getting ready for a big, impromptu family potluck of left-overs. It was fun to have both kids and their families, my cousin and her hubby and my dear little mother join me for an evening together. My sweetheart is coming home today from elk hunting on the opposite corner of the state. Too bad for him - he missed all the fun here! Love your quilts and the hat and can't wait to see more. I need to scoot and get busy!! ~Adrienne~

Wow -- I'm impressed. You got so much done! Me, well, I crocheted about three rows and called it quits. Really pathetic. You are truly an inspiration. And everything looks wonderful. I love the fabrics you picked out for the quilt.

Although Black Friday shopping for me was a "first" this year, and though I did have some problems as you know if you saw my post, overall, it was pretty productive. At least my Christmas shopping is now complete!
I love when you post pics of the crafts you've done or that you are working on. Those quilts -something I've never tried but would like to learn more about that -are beautiful and I really love the knitted hat too! Great job, Paula!
I'm still struggling here with a 50x50 tablecloth I've been working on for the past month -very slow progress going on here with it and I really need to get cracking and get it completed!
