It's early Saturday morning here on Pleasant Avenue, an entire weekend stretching before us with all the magic it may hold. I'm sitting here on the couch, computer in my lap, looking out the window at the dark world around me. Lights from the other side of the bay shine across the water and early morning commuters are making their way across the bridge. I have a fire crackling away in the fireplace and fresh banana bread and fragrant coffee are waiting in the kitchen. Breakfast with friends is on the agenda this morning, a perfect start to the weekend with good food and laughter. What else will it hold for us? Walks on the beach, a hike through the woods, time spent in the kitchen whipping up something wonderful, movie and popcorn? Time will tell, but the possibilites are endless.

May all your weekend adventures be pleasant ones.

Oh. . .I'd love to sit by your fire and watch the lights across the Bay - and have a good, long chat with you. Then a walk on the beach!

Paula,

Just the sign proclaiming Pleasant Ave sounds relaxing. It sounds like you had a good morning. The coffee and banana bread sound delicious and the company of friends a joy.

Wishing you a great weekend. Remember to take photos.

Speaking of photos, I love the ones in the post below.

Blessings,
Mary

It sounds like you are having a pleasant weekend.
Dawns class is having a chocolate fund raiser, so we headed into the hospital this morning & sold all the chocolate she had left except for the ones I have stashed away for myself.

Don't you just love that limitless possibilities notion. Tomorrow night, we'll all be lamenting the end of yet another weekend. Seriously, we should take the week off and only work on the weekends. Wouldn't that make life so much more pleasant?

When I was reading this it was like I was transported through space and I was sitting on the couch with you, I could feel the warmth of the fire, the smell of the banana bread, and hear you and dad's laughter. Moving was a good choice. But I sure do miss you alot! I love you mommy!

I never thought to meet friends for breakfast! I don't know why, either. What a wonderful way to begin a weekend!

I'll have to arrange something when Joe comes home next time!

No walk on the beach, though. It's too cold down by the lake!!!!
