Scrabble Anyone?

Some friends of ours stopped by the other night to share our shrimp quesadilla's (to die for!), a rousing game of Scrabble and wine. We had an absolute hoot. I cannot tell you the last time that I played Scrabble. I learned, once again, that I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, nor do I seem to have a good grasp of the English language. I consider(ed) myself a fairly smart and coherent individual until, oh ~ I'd say, FIVE minutes into the game. HOLY BUCKETS - Where's the dictionary?? It was alot of fun, now I'm jonesing to play again.

What other fun board games have I forgotten all about? What are your favorites?

May you all be blessed with good food, good wine and good fun....

Have you ever tried Rummy? Alot like Scrabble, but with numbers instead of letters. We love it!

Paula, this is great! Sounds like fun. We play a domino game that is popular in the south. :D

I forget about how fun board games are with some good friends and some wine.... :) Upwords is another good board game, and then me and my x would ply cards together alot (back in the better days).

Next time you have shrimp quesidillas, I expect a phone call Missy!! ;)

I'm so sorry about the miscarriage, Paula. Sam and Jessica are in my thoughts and prayers.

Scrabble is a huge hit around here. But Monopoly is probably my family's favorite board game. Our games get downright heated! LOL

Don't suppose there's a recipe for the shrimp quesidillas?

Scrabble is one of Dawns favorite games. She plays it on the computer if she can't find anyone to play it with.
How about Twister. Have you played Twister latly?

I haven't played Scrabble in years and years. I used to like to play Trivial Pursuit until my daughter got the updated version about 2-3 years ago and the questions in that one, especially about current events and stuff along those lines - WOW! I'm much better with the "ancient" history than I am with the more recent stuff!

I love scrabble. Shawn's always making up ficticious words though, he's kind of sneaky! So the webster's dictionary is always on the table. ;)

I love Scrabble too! We should have a scrabble night sometime.

When we lived in Hawai'i we had friends we played games with almost every Friday night. We called it game night. Outside, lots of food, kids played their own games (and "helped" us play ours too), lots of fun. Sigh... I miss that so much!
