Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today my Mom would have been 64 years old, so to celebrate her memory and her day I am giving a book from her favorite genre away. Mom always said that she thought maybe she had been born 100 years to late, that she should have been a pioneer woman. We lived on a farm in the Blue Mountains of Oregon and she loved to cook on her wood cookstove, milk her cow and take care of the other farm animals. She loved the rustic way of life. Happy Happy Birthday, Mom!
My friend Lucy from Sweet Repeats is the name that was drawn from the jar to receive 'All Together In One Place' by Jane Kirkpatrick. Yeah! Lucy, I'll get your book sent out soon. (Probably not until beginning of next week...I'm always a little slow...and I have the stinkin' flu....waaaa)

Ohhhh that cake looks sooo yummy! I'd be honored to have a slice in your Dear Mother's memory! How young she must have been when she passed..I'm so sorry and I'm sure her birthday is bittersweet, but what a wonderful daughter in you she left behind.

I'm so happy to win this book!~ Thank you!

You realize kiddo I am old enough to be your Mother and could be a great-grandmother if I were? Holy Rip! That is such a nice gesture though to do that as a remembrance to your Mom. Wonder if my kids would do that for me? I'll have to tell them this is a really great gesture especially for some one who loved books. How long ago since your Mom passed anyway? Way too young, for sure. Hope you didn't get the cold I had via an internet virus. I'm beginning to think there is such a thing as that cause so many of my favorite bloggers have all had colds same as me in the past week or two. Get well fast.
