A Sneak Peak

We're back from Texas and I just couldn't wait to show you this picture of our tiny little grandson, Weston. I LOVE this picture. More Texas to come later this weekend...

And, I finished my first knitted sock. I'm ecstatic! Wa-hoo! Not nearly as hard as I made it out to be. Thank you, Nancy, for the link to that great knitting site. It really helped me to figure it out. I'll definately check it again for other knitting problems that I know will come up in my knitting escapades. I've started the second because after all, I do have two feet and I'm watching the post excitedly for The Ultimate Sock Book that should be arriving any day now...

Boy, I'm glad you posted tonight! I was thinking about you earlier today -that I hadn't seen any posts from you in a while but tonight (or actually, this morning as it is 4:20 a.m. here) I see why and I remember you said you were going to Texas to meet your other new grandson! Boy, and a cutie pie you have there too!

Loved the sock you showed too! One of these days I may get brave enough to tackle something like that. As it is, I finished the knitting part last night for a little shell-type vest I made for Maya - all that remains now is to do the side seams. She likes it so far -so does her Mommy (and Mommy's approval for wearing apparel is often more important that what the child likes or wants, ya know.) Once I get it completed, I'll have to take a picture of Miss Maya wearing it!

that picture is priceless!! your grand baby is so very adorable...
and the sock you knitted is very good...I tried one but I think I gave up too easily...working with four little needles was just too tedious for me...maybe I'll try it again sometime...

What a precious picture!!!!! I still can barely believe you're a grandma!!!

Good job on the sock. I've crocheted a few pairs but never knitted any. Of course mine turn out to be 2 different sizes!!

Weston is so cute. He is really alert isn't he? And congratulations on your first sock. It is really pretty, I love the spring colors. And smart move starting the second one right away.
