My Desk...

I painted this desk about a year ago now. It has been in Dustin's room buried in junk until I pulled it out to put in our freshly painted guest room. My mother-in-law gave me this desk and it was painted a bright yellow at the time. I used it for several years as my sewing table, but decided last year that it needed a new look. It turned out quite fun, if I do say so myself.

I made this pincushion/button jar a couple of years ago. I absolutely love it. Tnink I'll make a few more.

We are going to Vancouver, British Columbia for a few days. Can hardly stand myself, I'm so excited. Just like a little kid!! Will post when we get back. Hopefully will have some great picture to share. Have a great week!!

Oh Paula these are darling! You are so creative and talented girl! I have a desk JUST like that! My parents gave it to me when I had an apt in college. it was originally a dark stain...I stripped it and painted it yellow enamel ( this was the 70's) stripped that yellow when I got married and went back to the natural wood...then painted it white and put new knobs on it and painted rabbits on top for oldest girl...then youngest girl wanted it...changed the knobs to sea creatures and repainted it white with a dolphin...now oldest has it again in her apt and I have no idea what it looks like now. This desk has been through the changes...I love your harbor scene. The pin cushion is cute! have a great time in Vancouver!

Wow! That desk is adorable. You're talented! And you know, those pin cushion button jars would make great gifts. They're so sweet and they're practical too. But that desk knocks my socks off!

It's lovely...I like it. I have a dresser in my daughters new that needs a new coat of paint and some new drawer pulls
