Tea Towels...

I was so tickled to find these vintage Raggedy Ann patterns at Vickie's Pattern Bee shop. Raggedy Ann was my very favorite doll. I received my Raggedy Ann as a present on my very first Christmas. She had a music box in her back that I wound up time and time again and I kept her on my pillow right next to my ear to lull me to sleep. I still have my precious doll. She has lived up to her name and is very raggedy now. We had a little cream and brown colored dog named Brandy who chewed apart one of Raggedy Ann's feet. She lost an arm as my sister, Stacey, and I were playing tug-o-war with her. Another leg was lost when I was holding Ann by the remaining foot and spinning around so that she was flying through the air. She is now also missing a eye and her wonderful music box. She is tucked away in my keepsake box, but will always be with me. I love you, Raggedy Ann!

When my girls were little, I found the pattern for Raggedy Ann and Andy and made them each a set of the dolls. The dolls were bigger than them! I love them, too, and those tea towels bring back such sweet memories, don't they? Wonderful find.

ohhh I have such fond memories of RAggedy Ann too and you brought that back to me just now !

oh did you read that book and look at all of the pix then too when you were little.

Remember when she got washed and lost her candy heart because it dissolved? and once I think she got caught in the rain too...but then the nanny fixed her back up - new heart and all.

I gotta dig that book out tomorrow

This tea towel is adorable

I don't have a vintage raggedy but I love her just the same. I have some 70's ones but maybe that is vintage now, who knows.

I love that towel! Your post about RA brought so many memories..cause I am an old timer I got my first RA in the mid-60's when I was a 3rd grader...I still have it somewhere...my daughters have theirs too...she is classic. That face just makes one smile and feel good.
