Good For the Soul

Camping is just good for the soul, rejuvenating and refreshing. We gladly accepted an invitation from some friends to join them (and a bunch of other people) at a cabin that THEIR friends own on the banks of the Nehalem River. What a beautiful spot~ A more perfect weekend could not have been chosen as our only two hot days in June just happened to be this past weekend. Below is what fed my soul on this little outing.

Home Sweet Home Away From Home...

A cool place to relax on a sweltering day...

Tall tales told around a roaring campfire...

Fields full of wild daisies and buttercups...

Early morning fly fishing....

May you all be blessed with a little bit of soul food...

Hi Paula -
I just love the picture of the chair in the river! What a great idea. I think I'll try that some time. Your weekend away sounds like it was wonderful. Such a sweet invitation to a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Paula,

This place looks devine. I love being near the water. I've never fly fished but have done other types of fishing. I enjoy it and plan on taking the boys and the camera soon.

I'm glad you were able to have a weekend getaway to this lovely spot on the river.

Happy Independence Day to you and yours.

Blessings,
Mary

Now THAT is my idea of a vacation! What a paradise Paula! And I'm guessing Riff caught your breakfast too!

Oh, how I envy this :) I love to camp --- just me, my love, my little man and the wilderness. Hopefully soon. So glad you made it out there ...

Love,
Jodi

Paula,

Just dropping over to let you know that I mailed your book today. It should be there in 7 to 10 business days. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Blessings,
Mary

Gotta agree with you on the camping thing! Nothing like sleeping out in a tent, even on the hard ground under you, it's still so refreshing that you don't even notice being any stiffer when you wake up then than you would have been sleeping in a nice bed but maybe sweltering from the stuffiness inside. Know what I mean? Loved the chair in the water too! Cool idea, for sure!
