SNOW DAY!

This is my neighbors pretty little house. I love the Christmas tree shining through the window.
We have a skiff of snow...school is canceled! How crazy is that, I ask you?! Yes, it's Astoria, yes, we have some dangerous hills (okay alot of dangerous hills!). To someone who grew up and lived in snow country for alot of years, it just seems insane to close the schools for the amount of snow that is covering our ground. Very funny, very silly and the kids are tickled to death. No snow days for me. Its off to work I go.
May you all be blessed with a freedom-giving snow day....

Looks like a fairy tale gingerbread house.

Well, they must colse school in Norway for about 4 months then! That would be some tickling for the kids :-)

We have snow too but not as much as yours. Our schools are closed because the roads have all frozen into skating rinks!
This is a beautiful image that you've shared.

Hi! I also live in Astoria--this snow has been so much fun!

Anyhow, found your blog via Monica's. So much fun reading to do here...

Oh I love that house so much! It's one of my favorites in Astoria (and there are so many to choose from to love!). I love the tree in the window... it's the icing on the cake! What a lucky view you have!

The house kitty-korner below me had another storm damaged Spruce chopped down today, and now I have of even better peeka-view of that house... but not enough to see the Christmas tree!

Bummer you had to go to work today. :o( I hope the there's still snow around by the time you get home.

PS... I found Wende's blog via Alicia P's blog this morning. What fun to find another Astorian!

I remember the THRILL of snow days!! It was the best to get up and find out that we had another day of Freedom! The kids looked like they had a blast. Your neighbors house is delightful :)

What an adorable house. It is so funny when the schools are closed like that, when we were kids we rarely had the schools close, unless of course the snow was 4 foot deep. Like back in '78-'79.
